Focus Group Discussion on Land and Environmental Rights

On April 12, 2025, we joined Defenders Protection Initiative’s Land and Environmental Defenders Task Force (LEDTAF), for a focus group discussion with land and environmental rights defenders.

The session gathered critical experiences, challenges, and policy recommendations to shape a research paper and policy brief for the ongoing review of Uganda’s National Land Policy (2013).

This conversation is key to building inclusive, just, and people-centered land governance frameworks and resonates well with our strategic objectives around land rights and environmental protection.
