Call for legal reforms by enacting gender-equal land laws
January 28, 2025In Uganda, women are more likely to be engaged in agriculture than men, yet they face greater challenges when it comes to starting and growing successful agribusinesses.
These challenges are often rooted in gender norms that restrict women’s access to critical resources like land, labor, equipment, and financial support.
By ensuring women have equal access to these resources, we can significantly enhance their success in agriculture, improve rural livelihoods, and bolster the resilience of rural communities. Supporting women in agriculture is not just an investment in their future, but in the future of entire communities.
